LSU Shield is the official safety application of Louisiana State University. It provides a means to easily and promptly reach university safety personnel during potentially unsafe scenarios.
Key features of LSU Shield include:
- Sending text messages, photos, and videos of crime tips or suspicious activities directly to university safety authorities.
- Utilizing the Safety Check function to establish a peer-to-peer safety network. This allows users to share their location with friends and family when walking to class or engaging in other activities for added security.
- Accessing campus safety information, such as emergency protocols, conveniently within the app interface.
Please note that continuous use of GPS tracking in the background may lead to a notable reduction in device battery life.
